Why Keep Your Cat at Home?

Cats are usually happiest surrounded by their own blankets, their favourite windowsill and all the familiar smells of home.

While you enjoy your break, I visit once or twice a day to provide food, fresh water, litter care, company and plenty of fuss, if permitted by the management.

You’ll receive daily photographs and updates, giving you peace of mind without disrupting your cat’s normal routine.

Meet Deb – Your Cat’s Temporary 'Cat-Carer' While You’re Away

I’ve lived with cats for over 50 years—and loved every single whiskered, wide-eyed, wonderfully stubborn one of them. I’ve owned too many to name (although I could if you asked!) and for the past five years, I’ve been trusted to care for other people’s cats too—always treating them as if they were my own.
Cat Care at Home was born from a simple idea: that cats are happiest in their own surroundings. No strange surroundings. No stressful car journeys. No catteries that smell of other animals. Just their familiar spaces, regular routines and someone reliable to fuss over them while you’re away.
At home, I share life with my two very vocal Siamese brothers—Mousey and The Wee Man. They rule the roost, are spoilt rotten and have my husband and I exactly where they want us. They demand attention at all hours, make neighbours believe we run a creche full of crying babies (and if you're a 'Siamese Slave' you will know exactly what I mean!) but they are also the most adorable characters who I wouldn't be without for the world.

So, if you're looking for someone who genuinely gets cats, respects their quirks and shows up with care, consistency and a clean litter scooper—I’d love to meet you (and them).

CAT SERVICES

I understand that your Cat (or Cats) are completely unique so I'm always happy to go that extra mile to make sure they keep to their usual routine as much as possible.

From fuss to food (and everything in between), I offer a full range of in-home cat care services designed to keep your cat content—and your home in order—while you’re away.

Services include:

Strokes, tickles, chin scratches and (if permitted) the occasional belly rub

Fresh food, biscuits, toys and water

Litter tray cleaning and general tidying

Medication (pills, drops or creams) administered with care

Plant watering and post gathering

Opening/closing blinds and curtains for home security

Plus all the little extras that make cats feel safe and settled.

Every visit is tailored to your cat’s routine and personality—whether they’re shy and independent or total lap-huggers. I've even been known to sit through episodes of Coronation Street alongside 'Massie' as it's her favourite programme and she can't sleep without the theme tune!

Areas Covered

I offer in-home cat care within a 5-mile radius of Farnborough, Hampshire, including surrounding towns and villages such as Frimley, Fleet, Cove, North Camp and Mytchett.
Live slightly further out? No problem—I'm happy to discuss locations outside this area. Additional travel fees may apply depending on distance, but feel free to get in touch and we’ll see what’s possible.

Most importantly, you get complete peace of mind—so you can truly relax and enjoy your holiday, knowing everything’s taken care of at home.

WHAT OUR CAT OWNERS SAY ABOUT US

"I can highly recommend Debs as a Cat Sitter. She has looked after Marley and Lyla many times now. When I am away she always sends updates and photos to keep me reassured that the cats are well. Debs is trustworthy, reliable and friendly and I have no problem in recommending her to others".

- T. from Farnborough

"Deb looks after my cats Pixie and Milo when I go away. When i return they are both happy and have been well cared for. Milo can be very shy and doesn't like new people but he took to Deb straight away and let her pet him from the start. I would be more than happy to use her every time I go away."

- J. from Farnborough

"Deb has looked after Teddy for almost 4 years now and I never have to worry about him while I am away. He was always very anxious in a Cattery and I would feel guilty for leaving him there. Now he stays at home and is well looked after and I can enjoy my holiday with regular photo updates and videos."

How does the booking process work?

Send me your holiday dates, postcode and whether you need one or two visits per day. I’ll check my availability and confirm the total price.

If you would like to go ahead, I’ll send you a short booking form and a payment link for a 20% deposit. Once the form and deposit have been received, your dates are secured.

Before your first booking, we’ll arrange a complimentary meet and greet so I can meet you and your cats, learn about their routines and collect any keys or access instructions. Everything will be recorded in your personal Cat Care Plan.

The remaining balance is due 48 hours before the first scheduled visit.

What if my cat is becomes unwell while I am away?

If your cat appears unwell, I will contact you or your nominated emergency contact as soon as possible.

If I believe urgent veterinary attention is needed and I cannot reach either of you, I will take your cat to their usual veterinary practice or, if necessary, the nearest available emergency vet.

You will be kept updated wherever possible. Any veterinary treatment, medication, transport or related costs remain the responsibility of the cat’s owner.

Before your booking, you will be asked to provide your vet’s details, an emergency contact and written authority allowing me to seek veterinary care on your behalf.

This does not exclude responsibility for loss caused by our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill.

What happens if I need to cancel?

I understand that plans sometimes change. If you cancel more than 24 hours before your first scheduled visit, your 20% deposit will be refunded.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, the deposit will be retained because the dates have been reserved exclusively for you.

If you have already paid the remaining balance, this will be refunded, less the retained deposit.

Confessions of a Cat Lover

Deb Bell

I’ve loved cats longer than I’ve loved most humans. I’ve shared my life, sofa, pillow, and (on more than one occasion) toast with more felines than I can politely list here. Some were aloof, some were clingy and one genuinely thought he was my 'backpack'—but all were treated like royalty.
These days, I channel that lifelong obsession into caring for other people’s cats while they’re away. I speak fluent Meow, know the exact speed to blink at a nervous tabby and understand that belly rubs come with strict boundaries.
And just to prove I take my love of cats to extreme (and international) levels—I once found a four-day-old stray kitten on a side street in Tenerife. She was tiny, black and badly injured. We paid for her emergency vet treatment, (including having her damaged eye removed) and once she was well enough to travel, we arranged for her to fly back to us in the UK. After six months in quarantine, she joined our household and lived a long, glorious and utterly spoilt life until we lost her last summer at the grand old age of sixteen.

Her name was Ailie. She had one eye, shiny fur, endless attitude and seriously thought she was a panther.

I still miss her every day.
